The album features guest appearances from Tate McRae, Eric Church, Hardy, Ernest, and Post Malone. Production was handled by Joey Moi, Charlie Handsome, and Jacob Durrett. Unlike Wallen's previous album that was recorded in the Abbey Road Studios, I'm the Problem was recorded and written in his farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
